Hearing Aids are available in many styles: the latest instruments feature a speaker or ‘Receiver’ mounted within the ear canal. They are often referred to as RIC – Receiver in Canal or RITE-Receiver in the Ear. The Oticon Delta (below) falls into this category as do the Unitron Moxi and Bernafon Brite.

Slim tube versions are also available, these allow natural sound to pass through the soft umbrella at the tip, reducing the ‘blocked-in’ feeling (occlusion) and making the whole listening experience more comfortable.
